Successful People Are Optimistic!

The optimist believes that this is the best of all possible worlds. The pessimist is afraid that this might be true!

I stop at a restaurant with my friend. He complains, “Look at this cup of coffee, it’s half-empty!” I respond, “Oh, that’s too bad, they gave me one that is half-full.” We both received the same amount of coffee!

But I certainly sound like the successful one. Success isn’t limited to objective findings; one person’s poison is another’s cure. In other words, if an optimist and a pessimist both win the same prize in a lottery, only the optimist will appear to be successful!

Optimism helps you see the advantages in any given situation. Successful people with an optimistic outlook are better able to identify the silver lining in any given situation.

Successful People Accept Things, or Let Them Go!

With everything in our lives, whether positive or negative, we have two choices: to accept it or let it go.
Accepting it means accepting the negative source to the point where we can begin to move through it. It doesn’t mean we are committed to allowing the negative energy to remain in and influence our lives.
Accepting it means handling the challenge and creating change.
When negative energy surrounds us, it’s obvious that change is needed. That doesn’t mean change will immediately occur or solve the problem.
If the negativity persists, we may see that it has become a toxic cycle that no longer serves us, and have to come to terms with letting it go. In the end, we have to do what is right for us and our mental well-being and overall happiness.
It isn’t easy to let go of things that used to matter, yet when they aren’t serving our highest good anymore and possibly even harming us, what choice do we have?

Successful People Take a Vacation!

If you can't take a vacation, at least a 10-minute break
from your screen!
If you can, take a vacation: recharge, let loose, and revitalize your mind. Science says it's the equivalent hitting the reset button on your brain: it destroys stress and gives you a much-needed fresh perspective to create sweeping change.
If you can't head to a vacation spot today, don't worry - just take a break! A Cornell University study from 2009 shows that workers who followed automated reminders to take a break from their computer screens were 13% more accurate in their work after returning.
Researchers also suggest to meditate in a quiet space or even take a walk - preferably in the fresh air if possible. Not only will your eyeballs appreciate it, your mind will have a chance to recharge.

Successful People Increase Their Confidence By Taking Actions!

Success is just as dependent on confidence as it is on competence, accordingly, low confidence results in inaction.
"Taking action bolsters one's belief in one's ability to succeed!”
"So, confidence accumulates--through hard work, through success, and even through failure!"
Do Not Stay Still. Do Something.

Successful People Quit The Jobs They Hate!

If the worst moment of your day is when the alarm rings in the morning for you to wake up and go do work you hate, then one of the most important risks you need to consider taking now is quitting your job.
If you want to find joy and meaning in your life, then you must stop wasting your precious life at a meaningless job.
When you realize that you only have 10 years to consume the vibrant energy of youth, then you must devote them to something meaningful that you truly love and care about.
You can decrease the risk a little bit by saving one year’s worth of living expenses to support you during the transition phase. This way, your mind won’t worry about financial security and focus more on growing your passion and connecting it to a profitable path.

Youth Is Short, Not Just Life! Take Risks!

You always hear that life is short. And I add to that, “Youth is short”.
Some people live more than 100 years. But all of us have around 30 years of youth. If 10 of them are spent in sleeping, and another 10 in activities like eating, socializing, playing, watching TV, doing nothing, etc., then you have 10 years left for actual work.
and …
If you wasted these 10 years of work in doing something meaningless that you’re not passionate about, then you’re diminishing your chances to have a life that’s worth talking about.
This is not an invitation to rush and put yourself under pressure. It’s an invitation to be clear about what matters most to you, be bold and take more risks.

Successful People Accelerate Their Successes by Taking Risks!

Taking risks is like jumping high and long. You cover a lot of ground in no time. What is accomplished in years, you can achieve in months by taking a calculated risk.
Only those willing to risk going too far can find out how far they can go.” – T.S. Eliot
